Most importantly this tamping station provides a firm base while tamping and allows you to make an even tamp while keeping the portafilter balanced and level. The tamper rest is square to match the stem on the Elektra portafilter.T his Tamping Station is made from Walnut and Maple and the bottom has rubber bumpons to prevent slipping.
This tamping station is built for the Elektra Espresso Machine with 49mm portafilter baskets and 49mm tampers.
