We turn these handles from carefully selected domestic and exotic hardwoods. We finish our handles using a friction polishing techniques. Using only all natural renewable resources shellac, linseed oil, walnut oil and other natural products. This finish strictly adheres to established food safe standards and qualifies as non-toxic and food safe. After the finishing process is complete, we apply a non-toxic wax which is a blend of natural beeswax, carnauba wax and citrus oils. Finally we buff the handle to a clear, hard, satin finish. Our portafilters feature 18-8 stainless steel hardware that will never rust or corrode and are available in 10mm and 12 mm options. Other sizes are available on request
This custom portafilter handle replacement which is hand milled on the wood lathe from sustainable wood.. Portafilter bodies are available but not included in the price of this product.
Will it fit?
The 12mm O.D. threaded bolt fits a large majority of the manufacturers out there, except for La Cimbali, Nuova Simonelli, Rancilio and La San Marco, which use a 10mm bolt. You may want to remove their existing handle and check the size first. 12mm = .472 or approximately 15/32 of an inch. Remember, not all manufactures handles simply unthread from the body; some are held in place with a nut and washer. The handle may be held to the body with thread-lock on the bolt as well. In most cases, a bench vice is needed to remove the handle.

The hardware tread size is important to know, M12 or M10.
M12 (12mm): La Marzocco, Bezzera, Rocket R58, BFC Delux, Expobar, Minore 3(Brewtus) and others.
Almost all 58mm portafilters use 12mm tread.
M10 (10mm): Synesso, Faema, Nuova Simonelli, Gaggia, La Cimbali, Vibeme, Ranchilio, San Marco, Dalla Corte Mini.
