The farm utilizes the natural compost made from coffee pulp and manure for fertilization They produce organically grown, high quality coffee on the southwest slope of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountain, which is in the Caribbean coastal province of Baranquilla, Colombia. Here they maintain over 100 acres of natural reserves that provide habitat for migratory and endemic birds.
Barranquilla is a major port for the Magdalena River and the Caribbean Sea, and is a main industrial, shopping, educational, and cultural center for the Caribbean region of Colombia. It is also known for its Carnaval de Baranquilla, the second largest carnival in the world.
